It Takes A Village To Nurture Healthy Parents So They Can Raise Healthy Children

At Vital Villages OR, our mission is to eradicate cycles of harm, stress, and instability for 'at risk' parents-including single parents, disabled parents, those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and families that have been involved with child welfare.

Through long-term secure attachments, education, community connection, and hands-on peer support, we walk alongside families on their journey from surviving to thriving.

Together, we're cultivating resilient communities—one empowered family at a time.

Rooted by Experience,
Guided by Empathy

When we make decisions, we're not just talking about theory - we're drawing from our own stories, our own struggles, and our own triumphs. We know that rules aren't just about compliance - they're about creating a space where everyone can thrive. And so, every decision is infused with our collective wisdom, shaped by our lived experiences.

DID YOU KNOW?

There are over 20 million single-parent households that exist in the United States.

30% of Lane County is made up of single-parent households.

That is over 28,000 single-parent households in Lane County.

Roughly 42,000 children and 46,000 adults, totaling 88,000 single-parent households that need more support than they receive.

Stories of Impact

I wanted to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude and reflect on the incredible experience I had with the Single Moms Non-Profit Program through Vital Villages OR.

Being a part of this program has truly been a life-changing journey for me. It provided me with not only the support and resources I desperately needed but also a sense of community and hope that I will always cherish. Randi and the entire team at Vital Villages OR went above and beyond to empower me, offering guidance, encouragement, and understanding during some of the most challenging times of my life.

Thanks to this program, I have been able to transform my outlook, build confidence, and develop the skills necessary to create a better future for myself and my children. The connections I made and the lessons I learned have opened doors I never thought possible. I am proud to say that I am now in a much stronger position, all because of the unwavering support and belief from Randi and Vital Villages OR.

I genuinely believe that I wouldn't be where I am today without the kindness, dedication, and resources provided by this organization. It has not only changed my life but has also inspired me to give back and help others in similar situations.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the vital role you play in empowering single moms like me. Your work truly makes a difference, and I am forever grateful.

With warm regards,

Nicole Nunn
